Esker Fax Exchange Integration

Esker Fax is seamlessly integrated with Microsoft Exchange Server, allowing end-users to conveniently send, receive, and manage faxes through their standard Outlook or Exchange email boxes. Everyone in your organisation can send and receive faxes through their email interface, unifying many of their messaging activities under a single client. To send a fax, users click the "Send a New Fax" button within their email window, directly enter or select a fax recipient from their address book, compose a message, attach files, and the transmission is immediately received at its destination as a fax. The Send Fax Outlook form supplied with Esker Fax makes sending faxes simple and intuitive.

What are the benefits?

Esker Fax for Exchange joins the power of fax with the familiarity of email, helping enterprises achieve their unified messaging goals – and improve communication efficiency throughout the enterprise.

Powerful functionality, real results

Automated fax sending and routing
Faxes are seamlessly sent, received and managed through Outlook or Exchange email boxes, as easily as sending and receiving email messages. Incoming faxes can also be automatically routed to individuals or archived for later use.
Benefits:
  • Fax costs reduced by up to 90% over manual faxing
  • Staff focused on profit-driving tasks
  • Minimised long distance charges through least cost routing, fax scheduling, and call batching

Simplified and seamless integration

Faxes are 100% sent and received within Outlook or Exchange interface. The administration is comprehensive through the Exchange Administrator, which manages users’ defaults and rights, inbound destinations, fax server locations, least cost routing and load balancing, and log levels. Users can select fax numbers from global, contact, or personal fax/email address books. Finally, the Exchange installation and configuration process are simplified thanks to Microsoft clustering support.

Benefits:
  • Secure and seamless faxing
  • No separate fax client to install because the Exchange Connector enables direct fax-server-to-mail-server communication
  • No maintenance or training costs

Real-time tracking and reporting

The system provides immediate status and detailed reports on fax delivery, process time and fax traffic within Microsoft Exchange and Outlook.

Fax status is maintained for each fax to provide immediate feedback to users as Esker Fax processes and sends the message.

Benefits:
  • Immediate notification of fax status
  • No fax loss
  • Clear vision to balance workloads and identify process bottlenecks

Archiving
The original fax image is automatically stored for later search and retrieval.
Benefits:
  • Document sharing across authorised personnel
  • Reduce stored data costs
  • Immediate document access for dispute resolution
